Not ones to shy away from raising money for charities and good causes, Hoar Cross Nursing and Care Home have raised five hundred pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Opening their doors to family and friends, and the local community, care staff organised a coffee afternoon where donations of homemade cakes, jams and pickles were on sale and raffled to raise funds for the charity.
Kathy Cleaver, registered manager at Hoar Cross Nursing and Care Home says: “I have to say a very big thank you to Alice Roberts and Margaret Rowe who organised the whole event. A total of £500.00 was raised on the day and we’re very pleased to be able to contribute such a figure to the cancer support charity.
