Residents of Connors House Residential Care Home were treated to a special romantic themed afternoon tea party on Valentine’s Day.
Love was in the air at the Craddock Road residential care home on Thursday 14th February, when staff hosted a Valentine’s themed afternoon tea party for residents.
With the sun shining, showing signs of early spring and the conservatory decorated with lots of heart shaped balloons and confetti, residents enjoyed plenty of treats including heart shaped biscuits, made by second chef, Nikki.
The residents spent the afternoon relaxing and chatting to one another about their younger days spent courting and how they used to spend Valentine’s Day with their partners.
Rosie Higham, Activity Coordinator at Connors House, who dressed as Cupid for the occasion said: “Everyone had a lovely afternoon at our Valentine’s Tea Party, the food was great and it was wonderful to hear some of the residents sharing their nostalgic stories!”
