Residents of Connors House Care Home in Canterbury enjoyed some flipping good fun on Shrove Tuesday, getting into the spirit of Valentine’s Day too!
Love was in the air at the Craddock Road care home yesterday, when residents got together to enjoy some Valentine’s themed fun, in the form of crafting and some yummy pancakes.
Artistic residents gathered together in the activity room to enjoy the themed festivities and make their own personalised cards and decorations for the Valentine’s Day celebrations.
Following their hard work crafting, the residents had worked up quite an appetite and as it was Shrove Tuesday, only one thing would do! The puckish painters tucked into some delicious pancakes, pink ones for Valentine’s Day of course, sprinkled with their favourite toppings including Nutella and banana, golden syrup and traditional lemon and sugar, which was certainly a favourite amongst the residents.
Christine Devlin, home manager of Connors House said: “The residents had a great day getting involved with the romantic themed fun, they always enjoy artistic activities and of course, the pancakes went down very well too, who doesn’t love pancakes?”
