A Liverpool live-in care provider will be educating members of the community about the most effective ways to help vulnerable people within the city after successfully becoming a Dementia Champion.
Promedica24’s Stella Sass will pass on her knowledge to others who are directly affected by dementia or want to learn more about the condition by hosting free Dementia Friends information sessions.
Run by volunteers, and supported and organised by the Alzheimer’s Society, the sessions aim to create Dementia Friends who learn more about what it is like to live with dementia and turn that understanding into action.
Stella, commented: “It’s a sad fact that most of us know someone who is living with dementia and sometimes we can feel at a loss about how best to help them. I want to raise awareness and suggest effective ways in which to help and reassure people living with the condition.”
Stella’s commitment to raising the profile of dementia is driven by her desire to deliver live-in care to people within Liverpool who want continue living an independent life at home.
