Dr Dan Poulter, MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, spent time at Barking Hall Nursing Home during a special visit on Friday 15th September.
Dr Poulter had contacted the home to request a visit as part of his community work and spent time meeting staff and residents.
The home, which is part of the Healthcare Homes group, provides residential and nursing care for up to 49 residents, and is based just outside Needham Market.
Healthcare Homes regional Manager, Katherine Foley, along with some of the Barking Hall team, spent time giving Dr Poulter a tour of the home. He met with some of the residents to hear about their backgrounds and learnt more about life at the home and the care provided.
Katherine said, “It was a real privilege to meet Dr Poulter and to have the chance to show him around Barking Hall. We pride ourselves on making our homes a central part of community life and work hard to keep our residents involved in life outside the home.
“Dr Poulter’s visit was a real reflection of this and gave us the opportunity to introduce him to some of our residents who could hear about his plans for the area, and to show him the fantastic work that is carried out by our team.”
