Care assistants Katrina Jones and Kimberley Coombs, who work at Innage Grange in Bridgnorth, completed the Scorpion 10k obstacle race in Stafford to collect £303.50 towards the home’s comfort fund for its residents.
The home is run by Coverage Care and provides residential and nursing care for up to 83 residents in seven units including specialised palliative care and designated dementia units.
The money will be used to take residents on day trips and provide activities in the home.
Kimberley said: “It was a great event to take part in and lived up to expectations in terms of the amount of mud, obstacles and water involved.

“Knowing we were raising funds for a good cause spurred us on when we were flagging and we know the residents will enjoy their outings, thanks to our efforts.”
Coverage Care Chief Executive David Coull said: “Katrina and Kimberley really did go the extra mile for the residents they care for. Everyone at Innage Grange and Coverage Care is very proud of them for completing such a challenging race.”
