Residents at Barnes Lodge Residential Care Home were treated to a special performance by Rochester Choral Society Chamber Choir and Friends.
The chamber choir, whom recently performed at the Society’s 50th anniversary celebration, kindly visited residents of the new Tudeley Lane residential care home on Saturday 22nd July for a special private performance.
On the rainy afternoon, the group of residents gathered in the dining room, ready for an afternoon of relaxation and wonderful music. The choir performed a variety of songs for their audience, who thoroughly enjoyed the treat and in particular, hearing some songs from their past.
Sara Grist, home manager of Barnes Lodge commented: “The choir were absolutely wonderful and the residents absolutely loved listening to them sing, some of our residents used to sing in a choir themselves, so it was particularly nostalgic for them.
“We’d like to say a big thank you to the choir for organising the event and coming along to sing for us.”
