Residents and staff at Blandford Grange care home in Blandford have held a special celebration to mark VE Day.
On Monday 8th May, residents were invited to celebrate with staff in a special garden party to commemorate the end of World War 2.
They enjoyed wartime music, organised special VE day decorations and spent time sharing memories from the past.
The home is part of the Healthcare Homes group and provides residential and nursing care for up to 63 residents, many of whom live with dementia.
Home Manager Deborah Davies said “We are always looking for ways to celebrate key events and anniversaries with our residents, and VE Day was the perfect time for us to come together and enjoy an afternoon hearing about their pasts.
“We were lucky to have beautiful weather so we could enjoy our wonderful gardens and both residents and staff had a lovely afternoon.”
