Popular restaurant Frankie & Benny’s was the venue of choice for Dan Woodhead, a young man with complex needs, to enjoy an evening of Christmas fun with members of his dedicated care and support team.
Dan is a client of home care provider Caremark (Barnsley). Through a personalized plan of specialist support, Dan is enabled to remain living independently at home with his family.
Dan organized the evening, even booking the restaurant and sorting out the menus. There were even special festive props provided for each person which added to the evening’s sense of fun.
(Barnsley)’s Head of Complex Care Services, Cathryn Sanders said: “A great time was had by all. The team very much enjoyed the Christmas props, as did Dan. He has a wicked sense of humour and throughout the meal he was teasing everyone. There were lots of smiles and laughter all round!
“It was a great evening and we really enjoyed being able to treat this hard working and committed team to a night out.
“Dan’s Mum told me that he never stopped talking about it when he got home.”
