This prestigious award was presented to Caring Homes on behalf of Ivy Court Nursing Home at the Over 50s Housing Awards, run by Seniors Housing, which is a world-wide organisation that comments and predicts trends in the retirement sector.
Ivy Court benefits from the highest level of residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built home. The home’s bedrooms and communal areas have been designed and furnished to the highest standard. Every bedroom has en-suite facilities and all ground-floor rooms have private access to the landscaped gardens. Communal living is enhanced with kitchenettes in the dining areas, and a range of seating areas where residents can relax together over a tea or coffee.
The judging panel was very impressed with what Ivy Court has to offer: “The focus of the awards is to reward innovation and those who lift and enhance the customer experience and enjoyment. Ivy Court was judged to be the best care home in the sector in this current period. The commitment to continuous improvement and innovation is shown in the attention to every detail in the development of Ivy Court, and by Caring Homes in all its’ new developments and continuous refurbishments of its homes.”
Ivy Court is one of the newest developments in Caring Homes’ 60+ strong chain of nursing and care homes. Providing the very best environment and levels of service is at the heart of the Caring Homes philosophy, as Managing Director, Caring Homes, Laird MacKay, explains: “It is very important to Caring Homes that every part of the business is totally focused on the quality of its service. Striving to be the best keeps continual pressure on us all to ensure we’re top of our game at all times.”
He continued: “Ivy Court has been designed with those living with dementia in mind. It’s a modern building that has a neighbourhood feel and offers a home from home ambience. The home has specially created zones where residents can meet up for a chat and a cup of coffee or take part in activities.”
