Do you know an elderly person likely to spend Christmas day on their own? The Gateway Care Village on Sticker Lane, Bradford is hoping to invite up to 25 local people to join their residents for a Christmas Day three course lunch followed by activities and Christmas tea and refreshments.
Following a discussion with care staff the care home has decided to bring in more staff if necessary to support extra people on the day. However they do ask that transport is arranged and that any visitors are supported by family or friends when it comes to personal care.
Working as a team they are intent on providing an excellent Christmas day to remember!
To get the ball rolling next Friday 11th December from 12pm-4pm The Gateway inviting local healthcare professionals from Social Services and the NHS to meet with staff and have an informal look at the care village. The invitation is also extended to the local community.
As Christmas is almost here they felt it was important for local people, friends, family and care professionals to see what happens on a daily basis and to extend the hand of friendship to those who at some point may be looking for respite or continuous care in Bradford..
On the day there will be a brief introduction to the care model their staff try to achieve on a daily basis, followed by an introduction to the management team where questions are invited.
Later there will be the opportunity to tour the care village where everyone can view the facilities.
All this is finished off with a Christmas buffet. If you are interested in attending please call Debbie Sone on 08000 78816 or email Debbie.sone@allsaintscare.co.uk
