Residents of Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme made the most of being able to get out and about again and enjoyed a daytrip to some nearby places of interest.
There were no Monday blues for the Gravesend residents this week, as they spent the day shopping the boutiques in Sevenoaks and dining at Teapot Island.
The first stop on the residents’ outing was Sevenoaks, where they spent the morning browsing the independent boutiques, before stopping for coffee and hopping back on the minibus. Next stop was Teapot Island, a favourite of the residents’, where they tucked into a tasty cream tea and enjoyed the sunny garden.
Helen Goulding, Housing Officer at Watling Court said: “Our residents are really enjoying being able to go out on day trips as a group again, before the pandemic we had lots of outings so it is excellent to be able to get those up and running again.
“We were lucky as the weather was great and it was just lovely to do something normal together, we are all looking forward to the next day out and making up for lost time.”
