Senior appointments announced at Valorum Care Group

Two senior appointments have been announced by Valorum Care Group with a new Chief Finance Officer and the creation of a Chief Operating Officer post.

Marc Harding joins the group as CFO from the CareTech Group where he was the Group Finance Director, while Paula Holdsworth takes up the role of interim COO.

Marc spent more than a decade at CareTech, where he held various positions at the group which provides care and support  for adults for people with physical and learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, acquired brain injuries, nursing and intensive care and complex needs. He played a key part in the group’s annual income growth and in the due diligence process carried out as part of its acquisitions programme. Prior to joining CareTech, he worked as a commercial accountant at Saga Services.

Speaking about his appointment, Marc said: “I have spent the last 10 years working in the social care sector, so I understand the opportunities and challenges. Valorum Care Group has ambitious plans and I look forward to using my extensive sector experience to help them achieve their goals.”

Paula has spent more than 30 years in health and social care with various senior roles in both the NHS and private sector. Her most recent positions include Improvement Director for Acute MH Services across North Wales and Acute MH Services in England.  Paula has also led social care teams as Director of operations.

Paula said: “I am delighted to have been offered this newly created role at the group. With more than 30 years’ experience in health and social care, I believe I can further strengthen the group’s approach to providing quality care across all its service.

“The group has a great team working on the ground and a key part of my job will be ensuring they have the support and resource to deliver the highest possible standard of care.”
