Staff at Balhousie Luncarty care home in Perthshire have come up with a thoughtful way to help residents feel at ease during the Coronavirus outbreak.
Appreciating that it must be strange and unfamiliar for residents to see people’s faces covered with masks, the team has begun wearing special lanyards featuring their smiling faces to provide reassurance to residents.
The lanyards have been very positively received by their residents and the team hope that the simple idea will be one that other homes will be able to use as well.
Balhousie Luncarty is one of 25 homes at Balhousie Care Group, one of Scotland’s leading providers of residential care, with homes across the north east of Scotland, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Tayside, Fife and Falkirk.
