Caring Homes and the team at Broadbridge Park welcomed members of their local community along with residents, relatives and colleagues to take part in a festive official opening of the state-of-the-art new home in Horsham, Surrey.
Broadbridge Park, one of the latest new developments by Caring Homes, is a stunning luxury care home located in the heart of Horsham’s new Care Village, surrounded by countryside. Guests at the opening were entertained by an acapella quartet and a pianist and were treated to a festive buffet, mulled wine and Bucks Fizz.
Caring Homes Managing Director Tracey Fletcher Ray unveiled a plaque to mark the opening of the home along with Home Manager Francesca Keating. Broadbridge Park’s first resident Ron Andrews helped to cut an official opening ribbon.
To mark the opening a £1,000 cheque presentation was made to charity Horsham Matters. Horsham Matters is a Christian charity that aims to demonstrate love of our neighbours by relieving hardship through the provision of essential services (food, fuel and shelter) in order to make a positive, long-lasting impact on people’s lives.
Home Manager Francesca Keating said, “It was wonderful to officially open Broadbridge Park which has now been home to residents since the beginning of September. We are part of the Broadbridge Heath and Horsham community so it was lovely to invite in neighbours and others who we will be working with to provide the best quality care for our residents.
“To celebrate the opening and Christmas at the same time was a lot of fun and to be able to make a charity donation was a lovely way to mark the event and the season of goodwill.”
Community Fundraiser with Horsham Matters Paula Daly said, “Our goal next year is to work on creating provision for isolated older people in our community and we will ring-fence this fantastic donation for that work.”
Broadbridge Park is one of the latest additions to the Caring Homes family, which now comprises of 64 homes nationally.
