Independent care provider Agincare is celebrating after its live-in care services in both the South West and the South East were rated ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Agincare’s live-in care staff provide one-to-one 24-hour care to people in the comfort and security of their home, right across England. Support ranges from companionship, personal care, domestic chores, and making sure people get enough to eat and drink, through to more complex care.
Dan Steadman, Managing Director of Live-in Care at Agincare, said:
“Being rated ’good’ in all areas (safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led) by the CQC is a testament to the passion we share for putting people at the heart of our work. Both teams are dedicated to respecting people’s wishes and supporting them to have the maximum independence, choice and control over their lives.
“Our care staff really do become part of the family. The inspectors heard from one of our clients who said that her care worker had opened a world of opportunities to her, meaning she could live life to the full. There can be no better recommendation of the positive impact our service has on the people we care for.”
The CQC inspectors were positive about Agincare’s strong person-centred values and their kind and caring staff. They recognised that Agincare’s clients were safe and cared for in their homes, noting that staff knew people well and talked about them with care and affection. Staff were described as well-trained and knowledgeable.
The inspectors also praised Agincare’s thorough care worker recruitment process. The teams look for hard-working individuals with a special blend of compassion, common sense, reliability and a great sense of humour.
Dan Steadman concluded:
“We are really proud of the outstanding services our staff provide every day in making a difference to our clients’ lives and well-being. It’s wonderful that this is recognised by these reports.’
