Nicola Horbury newly appointed Home Manager at Castle Grange Care Home on Dean Road in Scarborough is hosting Open Days next week to launch the home to local healthcare professionals as well as the public.
The marketing suite has been open for a couple of months, and there has been a large number of enquiries from those looking for residential and dementia care.
However, the opportunity to show people round only begins next week.
The Mayor of Scarborough will officially open the residential home on Thursday, July 18th. Her son will accompany her. They will be shown around the state-of-the-art specialist care facility and introduced to the care team.
Robert Goodwill MP for Scarborough and Whitby will be visiting the home on Friday, July 19th. He will also have a tour and an opportunity to meet all the staff.
The new care home features spacious en-suite bedrooms, lounges, dining-rooms, assisted bathrooms, a café, hairdresser and beauty salon and many more features including a Winter Garden, bringing the outside in even on dull winter days; all designed with the comfort of residents in mind.
Castle Grange has a café with doors leading to an enclosed garden and terraced area. An ideal setting for family and friends visiting with small children.
Many rooms have garden access.
The new Activity Coordinator already has a programme of activities.
Menus have been planned with delicious and nutritional meals to tempt the taste buds.
The Chef is already planning taster-days for healthcare professionals and new residents to go through new menus.
Nicola, the Home Manager, said, “We’re looking forward to the open days, to meeting people from the community, for the first look around of the home.
“It will be useful to hear what local healthcare professionals have to say.
“Meeting the locals and greeting new residents to Castle Grange will be a pleasure.
“We believe the life of residents living at Castle Grange should include the best care, the best of life and the best environment.
“All our residents will be supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Our person-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved – and often the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy.
“As part of our Scarborough-based community, our residents can make their drinks and snacks, help out in the garden and other hobbies and exercise their usual routines which enable residents to make their lives theirs.”
Castle Grange Care Home will provide residential, and dementia care for older people as well as end-of-life and physical disability care for people in the North Yorkshire and particularly the Scarborough area who need more support and on-hand care twenty-four hours a day.
The home is open seven days a week between 10am-4pm, where the Castle Grange care team will be happy to answer any questions about the care services available and will be able to discuss the care options for new residents.
The open days are 18th t0 21st July 10am to 4pm. Why not call in for more information and a tour of this new care home.
