The Hawthorns Group scooped the award in the Best Independent Living Scheme at the annual, prestigious Pinders Design Awards, for its fabulous new retirement development in Northampton.
Against strong competition from other purpose-built schemes, The Hawthorns won out for its stunning design and resident environments – a fantastic accolade for this leading community in the independent living sector.
This is the 20th year that Pinders has been holding and organising the Healthcare Design Awards; they highlight the hard work and dedication from developers, designers and architects in recognising and incorporating the needs and desires of residents into their final building designs.
Adrian Doyle, Director of Developments at Avery Group said, “Natta deserve much of the credit, with Alberto Gomez and Rob Winspear as major contributors to the development. They delivered us a stunning building for us and it’s great to see it win such valued independent sector recognition.”
Receiving the award from The Green Goddess Diana Moran are Ian Turnbull, Operations Manager at The Hawthorns Group and Adrian Doyle. They are accompanied by John Whelan, Rob Winspear and Alberto Gomez from main contractors NATTA Building Company; Gwilym McGovern, Chris Shearman and Richard Bailey from TDC Architects; project manager Jason Denning from Eveson and Graham Bevan from DWA architects.
