Burlington Care has announced the appointment of Leah Moon as Commissioning Officer, covering North and East Yorkshire.
Leah has extensive experience in adult social care having worked as a Generic Therapy Assistant within the NHS based at Scarborough General Hospital; working with the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to improve the lives of elderly people and enable them to remain in their own homes for longer.
Recently Leah studied Health and Social Care at Coventry University.
Her role is to help the transition for residents from hospital; working with other healthcare professionals in assessing, initial care planning and working with key referrers to facilitate a smooth transfer of residents into their chosen care home.
Burlington Care operates a number of care and nursing homes and a homecare service across the region; caring for people with general nursing, dementia and memory issues as well as residential care.

The company is also focusing on expansion within care with a number of new-build homes that will also suit this resident group.
Two new state-of-the-art care homes in Scarborough and Pudsey are due to open later this year; creating many new jobs in both areas.
