Mill Lane Nursing Home in Felixstowe, Suffolk hosted a truly traditional summer fete in July, and was delighted to welcome friends, family and members of the neighbouring community, plus the Deputy Mayor of the town, Cllr Tracey Green.
Speaking of the event, Home Manger John Savage said: “We couldn’t have asked for better weather – the sun was shining all afternoon and we were delighted to welcome so many people into our home and gardens for our truly traditional fete. We would like to thank Councillor Tracey Green for taking the time to attend; it was lovely for her to take the time to meet our residents and take part in our event.
“With the tremendous support and generosity of our friends and neighbours, we have managed to raise a total of £755 for our residents’ fund, which will go a long way to supporting their activities and social program – so thank you to everyone.
“Finally, I would personally extend our warm wishes and thanks to all our staff, volunteers and supporters, who helped to make the day a success. This includes our activities coordinators, carers, plus Steve Foley our MC from Felixstowe Radio, Barry Cross for taking photos and Paul Fosker, our music maestro for the day.”
