Clients and staff at the Halcon Centre have been blessed with the company of visiting students from Stavanger in Norway. The students have been working with the respite centre as part of their education exchange with Taunton and Bridgwater College.
Clients at the Halcon Centre have enjoyed getting to know the Health and Social care students on their placement over the past month, and have enjoyed learning more about Norwegian traditions.
To thank the Halcon Centre, a Norwegian day was held in celebration of the students’ time spent in England.
Speaking on their visitors, Manager at Halcon Centre, Kevin Mellor, said: “We would like to express our sincere thanks to our Norwegian friends, and Taunton and Bridgwater College for arranging this placement. This is the second year we’ve welcomed students from Norway into our home and we would love to do it again. The clients have really enjoyed having the students around and involving them in their daily activities.”
