Sleaford care home celebrates ‘Good’ rating from CQC

St Andrews Nursing Home, Ewerby (near Sleaford) has been praised by the National Watchdog- The Care Quality Commission, in an inspection that was published on the 15th May 2017.

The home was rated Good in being Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well Led, and was rated Good overall.

Comments from Relatives and Residents within the report, comment on how ‘well trained’ the staff team are and one relative commented ‘The Staff are brilliant, and go above and beyond’.  A resident commented that there was ‘nice home cooked food’ another resident commented ‘the activities person is brilliant’

The Care Quality Commission noted that ‘staff were seen to be thoughtful and kind in their approach’ and that they dealt with residents in a ‘respectful and dignified manor’

Stella Woods, who is the manager of the home said ‘I am so pleased with the outcome of the CQC report, and the comments made by the CQC and the residents and our relatives.  We work really hard to make sure the residents get the best possible care and it’s nice to see it recognised’  She went on to say ‘The team are incredibly proud of the home, and proud of the report’

Martyn Heginbotham- Care and Operations director for Jasmine Healthcare commented ‘St Andrews is a great home and to see it recognised by the Care Quality Commission is testament to the leadership and the team within the home’
