This week saw the launch of a new domiciliary home care provider; Nest Homecare based in Windsor, Berkshire.
Nest Homecare will provide home care support services such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s care, Hospital to Home care, Palliative care and general home care support to clients in Windsor and the surrounding areas.
Nest is being run by three local business women, and has been in the planning for over eight months – an initial idea that was realised after discovering that the industry is not as caring as it could be. “Trying to organise care for my father who suffers from dementia was a terrible experience. Many companies didn’t pick up the phone or call me back. Others just wanted to sell me live-in care without understanding our needs.” says Nikki Willcock, Co-Founder and Marketing Director at Nest, “I couldn’t understand why no-one seemed to really care.” It is main aim to change this, “At Nest, our approach is to care for our Clients and our Carers – happy, motivated, rewarded Carers means that they can focus on the role of delivering excellent care”.
Also key to the business is the use of technology. “After a lot of research, we believe we have found the right solution for our Clients, our Carers and our office-based staff. It’s absolutely vital to us that we have a robust platform in place that manages the whole eco-system from enquiry right through to family communication” continued Nikki.
Nest Homecare is registered with the CQC (Care Quality Commission), the independent regulator of health and social care in England, and is also a member of the UKHCA (UK Homecare Association Ltd), the professional association of home care providers from the independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and statutory sectors.
