Nurse Plus launches bespoke care and support service

Nurse Plus, a national home care and establishment care provider, has announced the launch of a new bespoke supported living service to assist individual’s independence in their own home or community.

The new ‘Support Plus’ service provides individual help to those in need of 24 hour care at home, or who wish to participate more in social opportunities, local activities or work and education settings where additional support may be required.

Working closely alongside supported individuals, the team at Support Plus will aim to improve day-to-day lives, helping to ensure goals and ambitions are being fulfilled. The aim of the service is to maximise independence and hand back control effectively and safely to ensure individuals are in control of their own lives.

Managing the service will be Jo Pattison, who joined Nurse Plus with more than 20 years experience within the social care sector.

Jo commented: “The main objective of setting up Support Plus is to provide a service to individuals who want assistance in ensuring that their lives can remain as independent as possible and to ensure they feel equal in their communities.

“Our staff are chosen based on life experiences, knowledge, personality and interests, as we firmly believe that the right person with the right attitude is key to developing and maintaining good relationships with clients.

“Support Plus will ensure that people have the same opportunities in life, despite disabilities or individual needs.”

Support Plus will be registered with the Care Quality Commission as a domiciliary care service and will be able to provide regulated services of personal care and specialist extra care services such as complex care, challenging behaviour, Autism, learning disabilities, mental health and physical disabilities.

Due to the bespoke nature of the service, key involvement from clients and families will be welcomed, with staff fully focused on ensuring maximum control and collaboration.

The service will initially run from the Bournemouth branch but will also be covering Dorset, before being extended out to the South West and further afield over the next three years.

Established in 2005 by a group of experienced healthcare and recruitment experts, Nurse Plus now has 50 branches across the UK.

The company’s progress has been underlined by the recent investment from Sovereign Capital and shortlisting for a number of high profile industry awards.
