The Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Sonja Crisp, joined healthcare provider Nurse Plus to celebrate the opening of their newest branch at The Raylor Centre, for one of her final engagements of the year.
At the opening, the Lord Mayor was able to learn more about the valuable care service the York Nurse Plus branch, one of 49 across the UK, is providing to the local community.
As part of the visit, the Lord Mayor took the opportunity to take part in an interactive exercise being delivered to staff. The session covered fundamental health and safety training, mandatory for all new employees.
The event culminated with a celebratory ribbon cutting to officially open the new branch.
Sonja Crisp commented: “It was a pleasure to meet the team at Nurse Plus, and to find out first hand about the operation and branch now based in York. It will be wonderful to see the company develop and provide care to the local community.”
“She asked lots of questions and was very interested in the service we are providing in the area. We are looking forward to helping Nurse Plus to grow and meeting the needs of even more people in the future.”
