Hartford Court Care Home in Portsmouth, which is due to open in the spring of this year, will be creating over 80 new jobs in the Portsmouth Area covering a range of different job roles including Carer, Senior Carer, Chefs, Kitchen Staff, Housekeepers, Administrators, Maintenance and Activity Coordinators.
This weekend some of the local hopefuls that want to join the Hartford Court Team met with General Manager, Lesley-Ann, supported by members of the Head Office team and colleagues from other Hartford Care Homes as they held a highly successful ‘Recruitment Open Day’ in the main hall of Miltoncross Academy.
Throughout the day a steady stream of potential applicants had the opportunity to meet with members of the Hartford Care Family, talk to people doing a similar role in existing Hartford Care Homes and discuss, in more detail, some of the job roles available.
By the end the day the team were really excited and pleased to have welcomed over 150 people through the doors, all of whom went away with a genuinely positive impression of what working for Hartford Care would be like.
Lesley-Ann said ‘This is such an exciting time for Hartford Court and for me personally; meeting some of the people, for the first time that will be joining our brand new team was really fun.”
“We have been given an incredibly warm welcome from the people of Portsmouth as we have been building the home and Saturday’s recruitment day was an equally positive experience for us. We were delighted to met lots of loving and dedicated people who want to come and join us in our beautiful new home.”
“At Hartford Care what really sets our Homes apart is the great teams made up of warm, kind and caring individuals that look after our residents so beautifully and we saw an abundance of people on Saturday that think of care in the same way as us.”
One of our visitors, Paul, said “It was lovely to meet all the staff at the Hartford court recruitment fair in Miltoncross Academy today. Really nice to see genuine warm smiles. I look forward to hearing from you.”
Hartford Care would also like to thank Miltoncross Academy for allowing us to use their assembly hall over the weekend – with a special thank you to Calvin Nottage and Paul Sparkes, the maintenance team who were very supportive and helpful throughout the day and a real credit to your school; we really are very grateful for all your support.
