Yorkshire’s leading Nursing, Social and Homecare agency Local Care Force has further strengthened its position with the appointment of a second Clinical Lead Nurse, Christine Grange.
With over 35 years experience working for the NHS, Christine will fulfill her role at Local Care Force whilst continuing her work for the NHS as a District Nurse, a position she has held since 1986. She will work alongside Helen Goldsmith in delivering specialist training, managing professional development and acting as a clinical mentor to the agency’s 250 nurses.
On the appointment Adam Silverwood, Nursing Team Manager and Associate Director, said; “In 2014 we created the role of Clinical Lead nurse for the agency, a first in the industry and it has proven a huge success for our nurses. The appointment of Christine is particularly welcome because it reflects this success and underpins the need for vital support that a Clinical Lead offers.
“Our nurses work over 4,000 hours every week and she will be instrumental in working alongside Helen Goldsmith to support them to deliver the best possible care to their patients and our clients. Her rounded experience as a community and district nurse will be invaluable to us, as will her expertise in training and developing other nurses. She is an incredibly safe pair of hands to provide clinical supervision and has already worked a number of shifts alongside the nurses she will guide moving forward.”
Christine commented, “I have spent my entire career working as a community and district nurse for the NHS and so I am thrilled to be stepping into this new role to support the nurses who work for Local Care Force. I believe very strongly in the importance of agency nurses and value the role that they play in providing vital support for patients in both the public and private sector. They deserve to be mentored, guided and helped and I am genuinely excited by this new opportunity.”
