Development of Glenbervie Care Home in Larbert, Falkirk is well underway after securing £3.34 million funding from Clydesdale Bank.
Once finished, the facility will cater for 62 residents and significantly boost the local economy by creating 85 full and part-time jobs.
The construction and fit out of the home received the backing from Clydesdale Bank in a deal facilitated by Relationship Manager Graeme Muir.
Twelve of the 62 bedrooms will be dedicated to a complex care unit. Residents suffering from high-impact conditions such as motor neurone disease, Huntington’s and multiple sclerosis will receive specialist care from highly trained staff.
Graeme Hendry, Director at Glenbervie Care Home, said: “The development is coming along well, and it is now completely wind and watertight, and on schedule to open in May 2016.
“We’re looking forward to completing the build and welcoming our new residents and staff.
“The funding provided by Clydesdale Bank has been essential to finance the project. Their experience in the health and care sectors has been invaluable.”
Stephen Buchan, Head of Clydesdale Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Edinburgh, said: “Clydesdale Bank is proud to support businesses contributing to their local community and economy.
“It’s great to support a development like Glenbervie that will deliver high quality care and create so many new jobs.”
