HILL Care Group is celebrating after three members of staff were shortlisted from thousands for the regional finals of the National Care Awards 2015.

 

Judges selected the care home operator’s employees following a rigorous interview process, with the finalists set to attend prestigious ceremonies in their regions.

 

Marcia Crossland, Customer Relations Manager for the Hill Care Group, is up for the Frontline Leaders Award for Yorkshire and Humber.

 

She said: “I’m delighted that I got through to the final six from 2,000 candidates. It is lovely to receive recognition in a role that I thoroughly enjoy.”

 

The North East has seen nominations for two care home workers.

Pearl Robinson, from Mandale House Care Home, in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees, is up for the Care Worker Award for the North East.

 

She said: “I’m so emotional and overjoyed at getting through to the finals. I can’t believe it.”

Debbie Wilkes

Debbie Wilkes, from Queens Meadow Care Home, in Hartlepool, is up for the Activity Coordinator Award for the North East.

 

She said: “I can’t believe I have been nominated for a job I love doing with all my heart.”

 

The regional winners from the North East will be picked on 14th November at a ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead.

 

The Yorkshire and Humber winners will be picked on 20th November at a ceremony at Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

 

They will then go to the National Care Awards finals on 27th November, at the Hilton London Metropole.

 

Wendy Waddicor, Managing Director of the Hill Care Group, said: “I am very proud of our National Care Awards regional finalists: Marcia, Pearl and Debbie.

 

“Their hard work and dedication is an inspiration and a true testament to the ethos of the Hill Care Group. I wish them all the best in the regional finals.”
