The care home has been awarded a Gold Award for infection control after achieving an impressive rating of 98.65%. The inspection covers a wide range of areas, from general cleanliness within the home, to how to deal with outbreaks and infections, plus general infection control issues, for example waste and sharps management within the care home.
As part of a Service Level Agreement, the 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust Foundation audits a number of care homes in the area. The awards system was introduced to recognise outstanding commitment to infection prevention and control within care homes.
Teresa Wilbourne, Home manager at Aaron Grange Care Home, commented:
“Ensuring that we maintain a clean and healthy environment is a fundamental part of the care we provide at Aaron Grange and we are proud that the hard work and dedication of our staff in this area has been recognised.
“We are delighted to receive the Gold Award for Infection control.”
