Phoenix Therapy and Care, based in Haddington, has been awarded the highest quality grading of ‘excellent’ by the Care Inspectorate, the official regulator of care provided in Scotland. For over 12 years, Phoenix has provided high quality person-centred care at home and nursing support for people with complex care requirements. At time of print, Phoenix Therapy and Care is one of only two care-at-home providers throughout Scotland to achieve this grade.
Phoenix specialises in caring for children and adults with complex care needs across Scotland. Whether clients have been affected by illness, injury or disability, Phoenix enables rehabilitation and maximises independence to enable their clients to remain in their own homes. They involve every client in the development of their individual care plan, and in the recruitment, training and development of their team of carers.
The Care Inspectorate report states: “Phoenix Therapy and Care Ltd provide individually tailored services to meet the assessed needs of the people they supported, most of whom have complex health and care needs. There was a dedicated staff team for each service user with service users and/or relatives being fully involved in decisions about the care and support provided… The service had very strong working relationships with other health professionals which led to excellent personal outcomes for the service users supported.”
Operations Manager, Helen Rothery, said: “Our professional care givers are the secret to our success. They dedicate themselves to offering the very highest standards of care-at-home and nursing support. We fully involve our clients every step of the way, and shape our service around them. These Care Inspectorate grades prove that our focus is on providing a personalised, quality service.”
