The home care service provides support to people in their own homes in the Harrogate, Ripon, Wetherby and North Leeds areas. Inspectors found staff were providing care which was safe, effective, caring, responsible to people’s needs and well led.
Staff were said to share the vision and ethos for providing high quality care and consistently improving the service through learning from feedback and that management of the service sought knowledge and best practice from other healthcare professionals to supplement their own, showing a commitment to ensure that the people they provided support to receive the best care possible.

Carefound Home Care was established in 2012 by Oliver Stirk who wanted to offer elderly people a higher quality, more personalised care option in their own homes.
It has since grown to help over 50 families through its hourly home care and live-in care services in Harrogate, Ripon, Wetherby and North Leeds and has plans to expand its reach further in 2016.
Whether families require low level assistance or a more involved service requiring the team to work closely with GPs and nurses to support specialist conditions such as dementia, the team designs one-to-one support packages around each client.
The Company was inspected under the CQC´s new, more rigorous inspection regime which it began to roll out in the UK last October with care providers being given either an Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement or Inadequate rating. To date, over 1,000 home care services have been inspected and less than 1% of these have been judged to be Outstanding.

Carefound Home Care places great emphasis on the recruitment, training and support of its staff to ensure that its clients are cared for by professional people with the time and resources to develop genuine relationships and deliver a truly personalised service.
Less than 5% of job applicants are successful and all staff receive specialist training from the outset including how to support more complex health conditions. The team works closely with dementia charity, the Contented Dementia Trust, to deliver training in its unique dementia care technique – the SPECAL method – which is used to care for clients living with dementia. They also operate close working relationships with other specialist teams such as Parkinson’s UK.
All staff and families receive constant, 24-hour support from an expert care management team in Harrogate which manages quality assurance systems, provides advice and works closely with relatives and other health professionals involved in a client’s care.
