Avery Healthcare is delighted to have donated a dormitory worth of quality bedding to its local Age UK centre.
The estates office manager from Avery, Rachel Bisiker, came up with the idea when the company was left with a large quantity of surplus quality bedding, including 14 brand new double duvets, 30 new duvet covers and 20 flats sheets.
Age UK has said the donated items are going to be used in their Winter Warmer Care Packs, within Day Centres and when assisting their clients who need to be moved into new accommodation.
Avery Director, Ian Matthews commented: “Avery are making a donation of equipment that was surplus stock from a recent home acquisition, and we wished it to go to a good cause in the elderly sector. Age UK are an important charity in our sector, and is one of Avery’s designated charities that we support”.
Age UK Services Director Derry Miller, said: “We are very grateful for the support Avery has given and we know that their donation will be particularly welcomed by local older people. We were especially grateful for the donation of a large number of duvets which will make such a difference as winter approaches.”
