With more than 25 years’ experience in the care sector, most recently at a residential care/nursing home in Newham, looking after elderly people with dementia, Jennie took up her new post at the beginning of August. She has a BSc in Health & Social Care and NVQ Assessor NVQ level 4 in Management.
Jennie said: “I decided to come to the Dulwich because the company, residents and staff created an ethos that represented excellent resident care service delivery. There have been some challenges from the outset, not least, one or two issues that the Care Quality Commission (CQC) felt needed addressing following their last formal inspection. Our team has worked hard to tighten up procedures and put new policies in place and, although there is still work to do, I’m delighted that the CQC now feels we are headed in the right direction.
“I have enjoyed the whirlwind start and I am looking forward to bringing a sense of pride, high quality service, leadership, respect and commitment to the Dulwich – and to help make it the best care in South London.”
Away from work, Jennie enjoys a busy social life with lots of hobbies including travel, cookery, running, music appreciation, decorating and gardening. “I play Alto Sax when I get the time, although I am a little rusty, and I’m learning to play the guitar.”
