Mossley care home hosts colourful 1950’s summer fayre

Sandon beach 004 Sandon beach 003 Sandon beach 002 Sandon beach 001Sandon House care home in Mossley opened its doors to the community recently as the staff and residnets hosted a colourful 1950’s beach-themed summer fayre.

 

With activities and entertainment including fancy dress, traditional fairground games, lucky dip and live music from the ever-popular ‘Good Vibrations’, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

 

The residents of the Market Street home were joined by friends and family, as well as the Mayor of Mossley, Councillor Lesley Ann Bill, who joined in with all the fun of the fayre.

 

Care Centre Manager Lee-Ann Sands said:

 

“It is always wonderful when the community comes together to support these events as our residents enjoy playing an active part in the local community.

 

I would like to thank all of our staff for their hard work in organising the day and obviously everyone who attended, including our local Mayor.”

 

Situated at the heart of Mossley and run by award-winning Meridian Healthcare, Sandon House provides residential and dementia care and support for up to 42 elderly people.
