To celebrate the final day of Wimbledon, tenants and staff at Watling Court Extra Care Scheme in Gravesend enjoyed a garden party in the sun.
With Wimbledon drawing to a close and the sun still shining, tenants at Watling Court gathered in the garden for an afternoon of summer celebrations.
The tenants sat back, relaxed and soaked up the sun, whilst listening to music and tucking into a delicious glass of fizz (or two) and the traditional and indulgent Wimbledon treat of strawberries and cream.
The tenants all had a wonderful afternoon unwinding in the sunny courtyard at the home whilst spending hours nattering away to one another, talking about their memories of bygone summers and how they spent their younger days.
Helen Goulding, scheme manager of Watling Court said: “Despite their care requirements, our tenants here at Watling Court still have a varied and active social life and remain a part of their local community.
“We believe it’s so important to maintain hobbies and remain sociable in later life so we always have something going on here at Watling Court. Whether it’s their weekly craft sessions, afternoon tea in the garden or an evening at the theatre, they’re never stuck for something to do!”
