The Cambian Group, one of the largest providers of specialist behavioural health services for children and adults in the UK, is delighted to announce that it has acquired Potterspury Lodge School near Towcester, Northamptonshire, increasing its network of specialist autism education services.
With significant investment Cambian will transform the now renamed Cambian Potterspury Lodge School to a school dedicated to support students with Asperger’s Syndrome and associated complex needs (High Functioning Autism). The school will comprise 30 residential and 40 day placements and the students will be supported by specialist teachers and a therapy team. The school will operate in the same way as Cambian’s UK renowned Grateley House School in Hampshire, and will become a sister school to Grateley House.
The news is welcomed by Chair of Trustees Andrew Tyrer: “We are delighted that the long term sustainability of the school is secured. Cambian Potterspury Lodge School will provide a vital high quality education service to the Midlands and East of England offering a calming, homely environment which aims to create the ideal setting for young people with Asperger’s Syndrome and associated complex needs.”
Anne Marie Carrie, CEO, Cambian Children’s Services, said: “This is a very exciting time for Cambian as we expand our network of leading special needs education services across the UK. Cambian Potterspury Lodge School – alongside Cambian Bletchley Park School, a day school for students with autism in Milton Keynes – boosts the availability of specialist services and Cambian’s presence in the area. Cambian is committed to ensuring every young person in our care achieves their personal best and we will look to build on the great work already achieved by the Potterspury Lodge team.”
