Coast & Country Housing’s HomeCall service, which meets the independence needs of elderly and vulnerable people throughout the Tees Valley, continues to grow and strengthen its position in the health and wellbeing sector.
Made famous by the red pendant alarm and its support for people in Redcar & Cleveland, HomeCall now have a commercial service offering which allows them to compete for UK contracts against a range of competitors.
Head of Independent Living Services at Coast & Country Housing, Jason Lowe, said: “The growth of the HomeCall service has been exactly what we had hoped. New commercial contracts awarded to us this year, dovetails nicely with some really important contract renewals which reflects the very high level of service and quality that our customers have come to expect from HomeCall.”
The HomeCall commercial offering includes 24/7 community alarm monitoring, 24/7 emergency response, full out of ours call handling service amongst others. The organisation has looked to position itself as a central contact hub for health & wellbeing services.

Alongside the commercial offering, the HomeCall service continues to expand its customer offering. The service has over 4,500 customers connected to assistive technology which alerts the HomeCall 24/7 contact centre as accidents and emergencies happen.
Jason added: “HomeCall has come a long way in a relatively short space of time and we are excited for what 2015/16 will bring. We believe the service has evolved to meet the needs of not only individuals, but organisations in the health and wellbeing sector.”
HomeCall is accredited to the Telecare Services Association, the industry standard for organisations in the housing, health and wellbeing sectors. This accreditation offers confidence and reassurance that the service will deliver for their customers and families when it is needed. HomeCall has been awarded this accreditation each year since 2008.
