Neurological care specialists, PJ Care, have appointed Lisa Andrew as their new Clinical Operations Manager.
Ms Andrew, has more than 40 years’ experience in the healthcare sector both as a nurse and in the management of mental health and neuro-disability services. Chairman of PJ Care, Neil Russell, said;
“Lisa is a huge asset to PJ Care and we are delighted to welcome her to the company. She brings a great deal of relevant experience but also an attitude to care that fits entirely with our values. She is already making an impact on our staff and we look forward to seeing how our services strengthen and develop under her guidance.”
PJ Care is a leading provider of specialist care for people with progressive neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries. It runs three residential services; Bluebirds and Mallard House in Milton Keynes, and Eagle Wood in Peterborough.
Lisa, formerly the Group Head of Safeguarding for a large corporate company, said;
“I am thrilled to be starting this role with PJ Care. I was attracted to the company because of the people. When I walked onto the units, the residents and staff all knew the senior managers. Everyone at every level has the residents at the forefront of their thoughts.”
Lisa’s aims are to continue to meet the core values of PJ Care, delivering excellent care, helping the residents to reach their full potential and to be a source of support to the board and the staff. Having previous experience in healthcare recruitment, she will also be looking at how she can further support and encourage new staff into the business to facilitate their career pathway within healthcare.
She added: “Having previously worked for large corporate businesses, the opportunity to work with PJ Care and their values of care, compassion and commitment for all those who use or work within the services, brings me back to why I went in to nursing. I am truly excited by this opportunity.”
