Exemplar Health Care has announced two recent appointments.
Dr Graham Rich has been appointed as new Chairman of the Board. Dr Rich brings a wealth of experience gained from a successful career across the healthcare and technology sectors, including CEO of University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and CEO of West Hull Primary Care Trust.
Graham joins the company as Chairman, supporting the Board to develop and implement the Company’s strategic plan.
He’ll work with the existing Leadership Team and advise on clinical governance, external stakeholder management and digital transformation.
Graham has a wealth of experience in Chair and non-executive Director roles across the healthcare and technology sectors.
A clinician by training, Graham started his career as a GP and has held a series of senior leadership positions including CEO of University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, CEO of West Hull Primary Care Trust and Director of Health Services for Boston Consulting Group. Graham has also served on the Boards of Cambian Group Plc and Allocate Software.
Following a highly successful executive career, Graham has built out his non-executive portfolio, and was most recently appointed Chairman of Healios, a rapidly growing technology-enabled service for children and young adults with mental and neuro-developmental issues.

Exemplar Health Care has also appointed Jonathan Green as Managing Director of Core to oversee the operations of its 32 care homes across England. Jonathan joins the Executive Management Team alongside leading sector experts including John Whitehead, CEO, Lynne Waters, HR Director and Helen Baxendale, Director of Quality and Compliance.
In his role of Managing Director of Core, Jonathan will oversee the operational management of our care services to drive and maintain quality standards and support the company’s growth. He’ll work alongside Selina Wall, Managing Director of Commissioning, who manages the build and opening of our new care homes.
Jonathan has a wealth of experience working in operations, including in the health and social care sector. And we’re delighted to bring his knowledge and expertise into the company.
After starting his career in the British Army, Jonathan’s worked with a range of private companies including Gatwick Airport, Rentokil-Initial, Iron Mountain and most recently Choice Care Group, where he was Chief Operating Officer.

When asked about what he’s most looking forward to over the next six months, Jonathan said: “I’m looking forward to visiting Exemplar Health Care’s 32 services and meeting as many colleagues and service users as possible, as the circumstances allow.”
Jonathan joins the existing team of Regional Directors of Operations and Registered Home Managers.
