Abergavenny home becomes first Welsh home to win prestigious Luxury Care Home Award

Foxhunters Care Community in Abergavenny has become the first in Wales to win the Knight Frank Luxury Care Home Award (2020).

The prestigious award, which recognises excellence in care homes across the UK, was announced at the Health & Senior Property dinner at the Marriott Hotel, London on October 3rd.

The impressive accolade takes into consideration the design, innovation, interior and facilities of luxury care homes, with finalists and winners featuring in the annual Luxury Care Guide which is due to be published next year.

The South Wales care home, which officially opened its doors in November 2018, was handpicked by a panel of four judges after touring contenders up and down the country. Judges were shown around the home which boasts a cinema, bar, coffee shop, gym and hairdressing salon and overlooks stunning views of the Welsh mountains.

CEO of Dormy Care Communities, Helen Davies-Parsons said:
