Mental health supported living providers, Northern Healthcare, have recently opened a new facility in Preston.
This service, named Holland House, offers contemporary living in the heart of Preston and has been designed to offer individuals their own spacious en-suite studio with access to a range of communal living areas and a fantastic shared kitchen.
Located close to the centre of Preston, there is easy access to shops, local amenities and public transport for all service users. Holland House also offers 24/7 support onsite with an added benefit of constant access to a dedicated full time Registered Mental Health Nurse and Occupational Therapist.
Northern Healthcare is staffed by clinical professionals who realise the difficulties that practitioners face in the current climate including moves toward community-based services, the reduction in mental health hospital beds and budget reductions. Therefore, it is their predominant mission to ensure that services are provided to help assist with these issues.
Service-user, Boe Kensey, went on to explain that “since moving in it has shocked me the amount of support I am getting and I now feel that I’m not alone. The building is amazing and is suitable for everyone’s needs – nothing is too much and I couldn’t image my life without the support”.
