Residents Relish Cracking Weekend of Egg-cellent Easter Activities

It was a Hoppy Easter for residents of Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme in Gravesend, as they had plenty of egg-citing Easter related activities to crack on with.

The egg-stravagant activities kick started on Good Friday, when residents of the Ifield Way scheme got together for a hot cross bun afternoon tea. They spent the afternoon nattering and nibbling freshly toasted buns, with lashings of butter, of course.

Saturday saw the arrival of the residents’ annual Easter Bonnet Parade, showcasing their creative skills, the artistic residents displayed their handmade bonnets, taking prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

On Easter Sunday, residents and their guests joined the grand egg hunt. With over 400 eggs hidden, the hunters and their families were kept occupied for quite a while, trying to find them all.

Easter Monday saw the celebrations draw to a close with Easter themed Bingo. Residents had great fun joining in with the themed game and there were plenty of sweet treats to be won.

Helen Goulding, Housing Officer at Watling Court said: “There is always lots going on here at Watling Court and for special occasions, such as Easter, that is the case even more so! Everyone had great fun enjoying the activities on offer and it was great to have so many families and friends coming in to join us for some Easter fun too.”
