Residents, staff and relatives at Kenwood care home in Finchley, North London were treated to an afternoon of all things Irish as they took part in St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
With an afternoon packed with celebration, staff delighted residents by decorating the home in clovers and leprechauns hats and playing Irish pub music.
Alongside cupcakes and rainbow cakes, residents were also treated to some chocolate gold coins.
To fit in with the green theme, everyone had the option to drink some green lime juice – though this didn’t go down well with most!
Francita Farrell, Activities Co-ordinator at Kenwood, said:
“The residents had a fantastic time celebrating St Patrick’s Day. It was the perfect opportunity to get everyone together, eat good food and enjoy Irish music.
“It is especially comforting for our residents with connections to Ireland, who are able to lead the celebrations and remember good times.”
