The Lord Mayor of Canterbury, Councillor Colin Spooner, visited residents at Connors House Residential Care Home for a New Year visit.
Residents of the Craddock Road care home welcomed the Mayor to their home last week and spent an afternoon chatting to him over a cup of tea and a few biscuits.
The Mayor took the time to talk to the residents on a one to one basis, as well as joining the group of a cup of tea. There was plenty of chatter about Canterbury and the ladies were particularly interested in asking the Mayor about his chain of office, he was happy to explain.
Christine Devlin, Home Manager of Connors House commented: “It was very kind of the Lord Mayor of Canterbury to visit us, we were delighted to show him around our lovely home and the residents really enjoyed getting to know him and find out more about what he does.
“He promised he would come back and visit soon, so we are all looking forward to seeing him again.”
