With festivities under way across the nation, residents and staff at High View Oast care home in Ash, Kent were in for an early Christmas treat as festive celebrations took over the home.
To get everyone in the merry mood, residents enjoyed performances by children from St Faith’s Primary School at a Christmas Carol Concert which saw children from the local school putting on a Christmas performance. Residents and staff got involved as they sang along with the children to ‘Away in the Manger’.
The residents particularly appreciated seeing the children dressed as Joseph, Mary and the three wise men while others lit up the room dressed as a bright array of little stars. The concert was rounded off with mince pies and refreshments all round.
Olivia Tengende, Home Manager at High View Oast, said:
“Christmas can be a lonely time for some residents so it’s important to keep everyone’s spirits up at this time of year. The Carol Concert was the perfect opportunity to get residents, staff and relatives together as we approach Christmas.”
