‘Celebration’ exhibition brings together work from care home residents in the south west

Residents from five care homes are showing off their artwork at Nynehead Court’s Orangery this month.

The show, called ‘Celebration’, has been coordinated by Stable Arts at Nynehead Court and features work from care home residents of Nynehead Court, Oaktree Court, Chelston Park and Gardens, Camelot House, and Court House, Cullompton. It opened on 1st December and runs until 6th January every day except Tuesdays (10am-4pm), and is free to attend. On Friday the artists attended a tea party at Nynehead Court, which was attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Wellington and featured entertainment by the accordion band ‘Off Cuts’.

Mary Kembery, Arts Coordinator at Stable Arts, said “We’re delighted to have brought the residents of the five local care homes together to create this exhibition.”

Stable Arts opened in August 2017 within the grounds of Nynehead Court, and offers arts and crafts workshops and courses. For further information about Stable Arts or the courses available please contact Mary Kembery, Arts coordinator, on 01458 251640 or email stablearts@hotmail.com
