Residents and staff at Aldringham Court care home in Aldringham have had all the fun of the carnival at a recent carnival-themed day.
At the end of August, staff adorned the home in bright decorations for a full day of themed activities. In the morning a Hawaiian-themed quiz was held followed by a special lunch. In the afternoon residents enjoyed a performance from the Ipswich Youth Steel Band, when everyone wore floral garlands and floral bracelets made by relatives.
The day was part of a packed schedule of activities and events arranged at the home all throughout the year. The home provides residential and nursing care for up to 45 people and prides itself on creating a home from home for its residents.
Home Manager Tracey Cumby said, “Our Carnival Day was such a success and brought so much joy to our residents. The home was alive with colour and laughter, and the happy memories of Carnival Day even brought tears of joy to some of our residents.
“The Ipswich Youth Steel Band were absolutely fantastic and filled the home with such lovely music. We can’t wait for our next carnival day.”
