Staff at a Grimsby care home are celebrating after achieving the coveted rating of outstanding – by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The Anchorage, in Rutland Street, is the only home in the Grimsby area to currently hold this high ranking. Staff, residents and their families are delighted with the achievement and a celebratory party is to be organised.
Penni Brown, chief executive of Hull-based Hica Group, which operates The Anchorage said: “We are overjoyed at our outstanding rating. The Anchorage is the first home within the Hica Group to achieve this and we are extremely proud of the hardworking staff who made this happen.
“We are constantly investing in training, equipment and activities for all our residents and staff across our facilities. I really hope that the staff and residents of The Anchorage enjoy their party, they deserve it.”
Ratings are assessed over five key areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led. The Anchorage received ‘Outstanding’ ratings in three areas, caring, responsive and well led and ‘Good’ in safe and effective.
