The outstanding work of dedicated individuals and teams at social care provider Optalis was celebrated at the company’s annual Star Awards ceremony. The event consisted of an awards presentation followed by an afternoon tea and was attended by all the shortlisted candidates, their nominators and senior managers from Optalis.
A judging panel consisting of staff and a customer chose the winners based on how they live the Optalis Core Values in all they do for customers, colleagues and the local community. There was also a special award for the team that had excelled in their role and new for this year was a Customer Choice award where customers themselves had their say and nominated an Optalis member of staff who had gone the extra mile for them.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Optalis Chairman David Cook said: “This is the third year of our Star Awards celebration, and I am delighted that it continues to grow each year, and continues to highlight the outstanding ways that our colleagues and volunteers go in order to make a difference to our customers. As Chairman, it is a privilege to witness the dedication and commitment I see right across Optalis on a daily basis. I am continually impressed and humbled by the dedication and commitment of our staff to making services better and improving people’s lives.
Optalis Chief Executive Officer Martin Farrow said: “The winners of these annual awards represent an extraordinarily dedicated workforce who go the extra mile every day, to ensure our customers receive the best care and support possible. I’m really proud to be celebrating their achievements.”
